Chacarita in Golfo de Nicoya is a fairly exposed beach break that does not work very often with no particular seasonal pattern. Offshore winds blow from the north northeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the best swell direction is from the south southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around high tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Hazards include rips and polluition.
