La-China in Golfo de Nicoya is a fairly exposed breakwater break that only works once in a while Works best in offshore winds from the northeast and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Clean groundswells prevail and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. Waves at the breakwater tend to peel to the left and in addition, there is also a left hand point break. Rarely crowded here. Watch out for rips and polluition.
