Lerici on the West Coast is an exposed reef break that has reasonably consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The best wind direction is from the northeast. Waves more likely to be from local windswells than distant groundswells and the best wave direction is from the southwest. There are left and right breaking reefs. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
