Menakoz in Pais Vasco is a fairly exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the south southeast. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north northwest. There is no beach break and there is right hand reef break too.. When the surf is up, crowds are likely Beware of rips / rocks.
