Nambucca Heads in Port Macquarie is an exposed point break that has reasonably consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the north with some shelter here from northeast winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southeast.There is a left breaking point here. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for sharks.
