Point Elizabeth Surf Guide
Point Elizabeth in West Coast South Island is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast with some shelter here from southwest winds. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the west. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Rarely crowded here. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
