Alright, here's the skinny on this stretch. Looking at the full 16 days, we're looking at a real flat spell. The first actual wave energy doesn't appear until the 4th of July, and it's barely a ripple. After that, it's a long run of tiny, weak surf with onshore wind messing things up. There's no highlight, no proper swell at all. The water's real warm though, sitting at an unusual 89°F, which is about 6°F warmer than normal for this time of year.
Right now, there's nada. The surf is completely blank for the first couple of days. The first tiny bump shows up on Saturday the 4th in the afternoon at Sand Key Jetty. We're talking a puny 0.3ft from the west with a period of just 3 seconds. That's not a wave, it's a wrinkle. The combined energy is basically nothing at (1). The wind is onshore from the west, so it'll be a messy crumble. Not worth paddling for.
The rest of the first week is a snooze. Bits of 0.3ft and 0.3ft pop up here and there, but it's all short period slop. On Monday morning the 6th, the wind goes glassy for a second, but there's zero swell to ride. It's a cruel tease. The surf stays poor and tiny right through to the end of the second week. There's a slight lift on Sunday the 12th with the swell reaching 2ft from the south, period 4 seconds, and the energy climbing to just (13). But with a moderate cross-onshore breeze from the WNW making it choppy, it's just a messy shore break.
From the 13th through to the 17th, it's more of the same: onshore winds, tiny swells, and scores of zero across the board. The afternoon of the 17th has a 2ft west swell with a bit more energy (9), but the wind is light and cross-onshore, so it’s still not surfable.
To be straight with you, this is a rough run. Sand Key Jetty rarely breaks as it is, and this forecast doesn't help it at all. For a beginner, there's nothing here to learn on either – it’s either flat or too choppy. If you really want to get wet, you might have better luck with a kite on the choppy afternoons, but for a surfboard, leave it stored. Forecasts can change, but right now, it’s a hard pass.
