A rare empty wave. The big problem with Schnapps is that even when it is this small, it gets busy because it is good quality, close to town and has parking near by. The other problem is urchins. Wear boots. A third problem is a new one. Two weeks earlier someone got bit by a Bronze Whaler. Compared to other parts of NZ, this is hardly shark-central.
