Tanaguarena in Caracas is a sheltered point break that does not work very often. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the south. Groundswells and windswells are equally likely and the ideal swell direction is from the northeast. Best around high tide when the tide is rising. Crowds are never a problem here. Beware of rips, rocks.
