Dolphin Point Surf Guide
Dolphin Point on the South Coast is an exposed beach and reef break that has reasonably consistent surf. The favoured time of year for waves is autumn. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers and there is a left hand reef break as well.. It very rarely gets crowded here. Hazards include urchins, rips, rocks, locals and sharks.
