Greenmount on the Gold Coast is a very sheltered beach and point break that has quite reliable surf. Autumn and winter are the optimum times of year for waves. Offshore winds are from the south southeast with some shelter here from east winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. The beach breaks peel to the right The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Likely to be crowded if working. Be wary of rips - they make surfing here dangerous.
