Long Reef Surf Guide
Long Reef in Sydney North is an exposed reef break that has quite reliable surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. There are left and right breaking reefs. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Take care of rips and locals.
